  • Air Fryer Veggies (online)

    Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick—and the healthy results are delicious! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience.   • Best Biscotti Ever!

    Join us for a delightful biscotti-making workshop where you'll learn to create over 10 varieties of these crunchy Italian cookies, packed with ingredients like almonds, pistachio nuts, dried fruits, and cinnamon. Perfectly complementing coffee and tea, these treats can be enjoyed plain or drizzled with chocolate. You'll not only get to taste each flavor but also take home approximately 1-2 dozen biscotti to share with family and friends! NOTE A $13 materials/food fee due to the instructor at class.     An infamous Korean one-bowl dish, it consists of rice topped with sautéed vegetables, chili paste, and protein, usually beef, topped with a fried egg. We'll go vegetarian-style, using mushrooms in bulgogi. Explore Korean flavors like Gochugaru and Gochujang, the significance of cooking in Korean culture, and plant-based diets.

    Healthy, flavorful Buddha bowls are traditionally one-dish meals consisting of grain, colorful vegetables, protein, and various sauces and garnishes. For our Buddha bowl, make the most addictive tofu with a sweet Asian marinade and a spicy Sriracha mayo on top.     Indulge yourselves in this popular Chicken Pad Thai cooking class whose name means “Thai stir-fry". Build an authentic Pad Thai sauce with the diverse flavor profile of sweet, salty, sour and spicy. Perfect for your next family dinner or entertaining. You will wow your friends and family with your new found signature dish! Hands-on class with samples provided. IMPORTANT: We use peanuts in this class. NOTES: Bring containers for left overs.     French macarons are delicate and colorful confections. They are crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle, and they pair well with tea. They are perfect for holiday gifts. Using the French technique, you can learn to bake light and airy meringue-based macaron shells. While the shells are setting, you can prepare the fillings. As you assemble the macarons, we’ll discuss how to store them so your hard work can be enjoyed well after they are made. NOTE Bring container to bring macarons home in. Supply fee included in price. Students age 15+ may attend with a registered adult.
  • Dim Sum Shu Mai Drum Dumplings & Wontons! (online) NEW CLASS!

    No need to look any further for restaurant quality Dim Sum than your own kitchen! Dim Sum, loosely translated to “touch the heart”, refers to a Chinese or Cantonese meal consisting of numerous small appetizers or finger foods traditionally enjoyed in restaurants. A dim sum meal therefore is considered a shared dining, social experience that can last for hours. Dim Sum meals often include some sort of dumpling, and two of the most popular dumpling options are open faced drum dumplings called “Shu Mai” and other dumplings called “Wontons”. Join Chef Tess for one of her newest classes where she will guide you in the step-by-step process of creating these delightful restaurant quality Dim Sum dumplings with two different meat and veggie fillings, and store bought wrappers. Learn to shape, fill and cook these tender, light, fluttery bites of deliciousness in your own home for a memorable dim sum get together. Serving, freezing and reheating tips will also be shared. CHEF'S NOTES: Equipment: A bamboo steamer is a “nice to have”, but not necessary. The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and prep. a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes in PDF format. One registration fee for this on-line virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home only. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun!

Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine is also famous for flavorful vegetarian dishes that can be enjoyed by meat-eaters and vegetarians alike!     In this cooking class, you'll explore a variety of hearty, veggie-packed dishes perfect for diversifying your meals and reducing your meat intake. You'll learn how to prepare delicious risotto with porcini mushrooms, tofu stroganoff, a flavorful garbanzo bean and lentil soup, black-eyed peas with cabbage and cheese, chili with kidney beans and bulgur wheat, a refreshing quinoa salad with bell peppers and olives, and the renowned Napalese Lentil Dahl.
