Czech Kolaches

Enrichment Adult / Cooking -
AE 2526 Fall

Kolaches are Czechoslovakian pastries, made of a yeast dough traditionally filled with fruit mixtures such as apricot, cottage cheese, poppy seed or prune.  Kolaches are an egg-rich, slightly sweet yeast dough shaped into small rounds, square "tied packages" or filled turnovers. In class you will make a variety of kolaches and sample these tasty treats. Also, plan to take an assortment home to share with family, friends or freeze them!

Leave class with many different recipes, tips and techniques to master this Old World delicacy!

NOTE: There is a $15 supply fee due at class.

Bring a lunch if you want!!
