Fishing Library: Fishing basics: Gr 3-12

Join us to learn why fishing is so fun. You will learn about the basics of fishing using a spinning rod and reel. You will be taught how to put on a line, tie a lure and hook, putting on plastic baits on the hook, and casting into water from the shore. You will also learn how to overhand and underhand casting. The entire class will be held on the shores of White Bear Lake so that you can practice casting into water and hopefully have a chance to catch a fish. We will provide the rod, reel, line and lures for you to use in this class. Students aged 16+ will need a fishing license. Dress accordingly to weather.

Fishing Library: Bass Fishing on the Boat: Gr 5-12
Fishing

Join us in the boat to learn how to fish for largemouth bass on White Bear Lake. You will learn how to catch largemouth bass using multiple fishing techniques: Drop Shot, Ned Rig, and Wacky Rigs. We will provide the rods, reels, lines, and lures for you to use in the class. Students aged 16+ will need a fishing license. Dress accordingly to weather.

Tally's: Casting Style Fishing Camps: Gr 6-8

Focusing on the basics of casting style fishing - “catch and release” on White Bear Lake. Anglers will fish for a total of 6 hours in various fishing locations on the lake in a pontoon boat. Drop off /pick up at Tally’s Dockside 4441 Lake Avenue South, White Bear Lake, Minnesota For all our fishing excursions, our pontoons are fully upholstered and have a half canopy. Each pontoon will be equipped with a driver/fishing guide, live bait, and life vests. Anglers will have the opportunity to bring their own tackle, life vests and fishing poles but if needed we can supply gear.

Spark Equestrian: Academy Day Camp: Age 6-12
Horse Riding

Giddy up and go! Spark Equestrian’s day camps at Hardwood Creek Farm will help campers grow their confidence and love of working with horses. Campers will learn horse care, grooming, feeding and riding skills. There will be time for games, crafts, and we will make treats for the horses. Campers will take turns leading each other around on the horses while learning how to walk, steer and stop. This is one you won't want to miss!
