Enjoy a guided tour of the lake while enjoying the scenery of nature. This adventure is suitable for a beginner with experience paddling 1-2 times or an expert paddler.   • Lynch Pickleball Camp

    You’ll love pickleball! America’s fastest growing sport is fun and easy to learn. It’s played on a shortened tennis court with a paddle and plastic balls and combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Come and meet new people or bring a friend. Led by an experienced professional. Wear court shoes and bring Water bottle and pickleball paddle. We will have a few paddles for use. Beginner Pickleball: You’ll learn the rules, scoring and how to play with fun lessons and drills. We’ll match you up with a partner of like ability to practice the various skills and to play a match in a low key fun environment. Intermediate Beginner Pickleball: This class is for the person who has taken a beginner class and is ready to take their game to the next level. Improve your skills and meet new people of like ability. We’ll start with a warm up and then get things rolling with some fun drills, games and competition. No need to bring a partner as everyone will rotate around. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing and bring a paddle and a water bottle.

    Meals on Wheels is a community service that delivers nutritious meals to your home with the help of volunteers. This services is available to all persons regardless of age or ability. It is a wonderful way for individuals to stay connected to their communities, remain healthy, and live independently, for as long as possible as well as those with a short term need for meals after a hospitalization/surgery. Meals are provided at a reduced rate due to generous donations from participants, foundations, and the wider community, and also through support of the White Bear Lake Area School District, Senior Services Consortium of Ramsey County, Metro Meals on Wheels, local Lions Clubs and others.     Have you ever wanted to talk to a real agent or publisher? Are you tired of having your manuscripts critiqued by non-professionals or paying an editor too much money to change your writing to their voice? Email one page of your in-progress manuscript for an in-class critique of one page of your poetry, article, short story, screenplay, novel, non-fiction book, or children’s book. The email will be sent to you with the zoom link for class. (Optional: You can then send your manuscript for a professional critique for a critique fee of $50 for up to 25 double-spaced pages + $1/page thereafter, and a list of publishers/agents who are interested in your type of work.) The instructor is a journalist, author, screenwriter, agent, publisher, and adjunct online Professor of Publishing for Harvard. The webinar login information, along with a detailed tutorial to set up your free Zoom account, will be emailed the day before class.

    Find your joy of painting in this easy to follow Bob Ross style painting class. You will be amazed at the talent you have! We will paint on a 16" x 20" canvas that will be ready for you to frame and hang on your wall at home. Please note: Oil paintings take 4 weeks to fully dry but can be inserted into the frame of your choice and hung immediately. REMINDER: A $20 material fee is due to the instructor at class. Eliminate the worry with this helpful class as we walk you through the steps on how to set up a YouTube channel, safety settings, and consideration for kids having their own channel. Parents will learn the basic guidelines of being able to help manage and monitor their activity, all while incorporating practical business skills when it comes to managing your own channel. You’ll learn how this hobby can become a practical career, safety practices, and even create fun videos! Parents will leave the class with helpful guidelines to get their kid’s channel started safely and a solid foundation for their child’s new creative outlet in 2023. Please note, children must be age 13 and have parental permission to start a YouTube channel.

    Have you ever caught sight of your reflection in a window or mirror to see that your head leads the way? Or noticed that your shoulders and upper back are too rounded forward? You’ll learn simple techniques to improve posture and stand straighter. We’ll do exercises to help flatten the upper back, un-round shoulders and flatten your midsection. Learn how to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and how to re-gain bone mass. We’ll discuss the latest research findings on nutrition, minerals and trace minerals needed for bone health; foods that help and/or harm your bones and more. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will need a resistance band or tube for some of the exercises.
