  • Minnesota Biome Hike

    This two-mile guided nature walk will allow you to experience habitats found within the three biomes of our state – the deciduous forest, the coniferous forest and the prairie. A Minnesota Master Naturalist Instructor will guide you through a tamarack bog, oak woodland and restored prairie and describe the plant communities, creatures and ecological processes present in the Linwood School Forest. The history of the Linwood School Forest as well as the current partnerships, collaborations, research and service-learning will be presented. Attendees will learn how to set up a trail camera and how to age trees. There will be multiple opportunities to stop and rest to listen and look for birds as well as other animals living in this forest. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring water, snacks and binoculars, if you have them.. Please park at the lot on the north end of the forest. Bring to class an exercise/yoga mat and water, and get ready to sweat, tone, and rock out! Students under 17 must attend with a registered adult.

This accessibility makes the style appealing to a broad range of practitioners, allowing individuals of all skill levels to engage and benefit from its continued practice without the pressure of advancing through multiple levels. This can foster a more inclusive environment, encouraging personal growth and enjoyment of the art form.

This workout will engage all of your 650 muscles, yet is suitable for any age and fitness level— seasoned athlete to couch potato. Wear comfortable clothing and nonslip socks or practice barefoot. Bring water, and an exercise mat.

    Whole Body Vinyasa is designed to increase both your strength and flexibility and is suitable for all ages and body types. The breath is incorporated into each exercise and is designed to relieve stress and anxiety. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Each pose will be described in detail for beginners as well as modifications offered for more advanced students. Improve the health of your body, mind and soul through yoga! $15 drops are welcomed! Class will be held at: Bellaire Beach, 2499 South Shore Boulevard, White Bear Township, MN 55110. If the weather is poor, we will meet at Normandy Park Education Center, 2484 East County Road F. It is up the hill on Bellaire. Enter through the Senior Center Door P in the gym. Remember to bring a water bottle and yoga mat.
