Day Trip: 1000 Nesting Dolls & Kramarczuk’s Deli

Enrichment Adult / Trips & Travel -
AE 2425 Winter Spring

Join us in exploring the largest collection of nesting dolls or Matryoshka, in America at the Russian Museum of Art in Minneapolis. The display includes some of the earliest dolls ever created and traces the development of the craft through the 20th century. From village handiworks to artist-painted pieces, the artifacts on display present an astounding variety of styles and themes.  We will have a guided tour through the exhibit and then time to explore the rest of the museum and gift show on your own.

After the museum we will head off to lunch at Kramarczuk’s Deli in Minneapolis for an Eastern European lunch. Delight your taste buds with a medley of traditional dishes, including mouthwatering cabbage rolls, scrumptious pierogi (varenyky), Kramarczuk finest sausages, as well the classic pastrami and flavorful Rueben, guaranteed to satisfy your cravings. And for those with a sweet tooth, tempting desserts await to add the perfect finishing touch to your culinary journey.

Lastly, shop in the market to take home some amazing sausages, breads and pastries.

Fee includes transportation from NewTrax and museum fee.  Lunch is on your own.
