Hedge collection Explore 1,200 acres of professionally maintained gardens, rare plant collections, and accessible trails. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a research center and extension of the University of Minnesota. Join us for a guided and narrated one hour three mile tram tour highlighting varied collections, display gardens, and the Arboretum Farm! 

Your fee includes lunch and 10% off at the Gift and Garden Store. We will also
have self guided exploration time of the 30+ gardens and natural areas, trails, library, and conservatory. 

Lunch Menu: Flowerpot lunch includes a choice of sandwich (turkey, ham, roast beef or veggie), chips, an apple, cookie, and bottled water

Schedule of the Day

  • 9:00 am - Meet and leave Mahtomedi Education Center, 1520 Mahtomedi Ave
  • 9:50 am - Arrive at MN Landscape Arboretum (Bus parking is free)
  • 10:00 - 11:00 - Tram Tour
  • 11:00 - 11:30 - Walking time, Bathroom, Gift shop (We get 10% off, etc.).
  • 11:30 - 12:00 - Lunch time
  • Until 2:45 - Self Guided Exploration
  • 2:45 - Meet at the bus
  • 3:00 - Depart
  • 4:00 - Return to Mahtomedi Education Center, 1520 Mahtomedi Ave
