Composts and mulches are nature’s way of recycling; keeps waste out of landfills, and it fertilizes without chemicals. Learn how to use a variety of composts and the various mulches out there for all your planting and landscaping needs whether you make them yourself or buy them off the shelf. The pros, the cons, and everything in between…especially how to use mulches to tuck your plants in for the long winter ahead.
Participants will receive an informational folder full of great publications.
Adam Hjelm has been teaching community education and gardening classes for nearly twenty years. He is passionate about native plants and helping people green up their spaces in a variety of ways. Adam is a watershed education coordinator, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, and Lawns to Legumes coach. When he isn't working with residents on their properties; he can be found wandering the woods, gardening in his backyard, or chasing after fish on our local lakes.
