The possibility of flight has fascinated people for thousands of years, but only in the last 120 years have we enjoyed powered flight. This class will educate you on the history, science, math, personalities, and traditions of aviation. We will look at aviation maps and navigation, design, art, and the people behind the progress of flight. We will look back at the history, and learn of the future direction of powered flight. Students will track their own progress through daily journaling, and will come home with materials at least every other day.
