    When it comes to actual sushi that is made with sushi grade raw fish such as salmon or tuna wrapped in rice and seaweed, the sushi tolerance spectrum runs from a very strong “YES” or a very strong “NO” with little wiggle room in between. Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California Rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap / shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crabsticks. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen!   • Chili Night with Your Instant Pot (online)

    The electric pressure cooker makes a faster and more flavorful Pot of chili compared to stove top or slow cooker—and you can make your sides in the Instant Pot, too! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate Easy Weeknight Chili, Turkey Verde Chili, and vegan Quinoa Chili, along with Instant Pot “Baked” Potatoes and Loaded Cornbread. We’ll also discuss how you can adapt your favorite recipe for pressure cooker use. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can follow along at your convenience.
  • Crepes - Not Just for Breakfast!

    Crepes are an easy, impressive do-ahead dish. We will prepare Chicken Divan (chicken with broccoli in a cheese sauce) for our main dish. Follow it with Cheese Blintzes served with an apricot sauce and Mushroom Crepes with Sherry Sauce. Orange Crepe Suzette, Italian and Sicilian Cannoli, Flaming Crepes, and other desserts will round out our selections. Each student will have lots of experience in "making perfect crepes" including flipping them! Students ages 6-16 are welcome with a registered adult.   • Dim Sum Dumpling Dynasty: Pot Stickers & Dipping Sauce (ONLINE)

    Dim Sum refers to a Chinese or Cantonese meal consisting of numerous small appetizers or finger foods traditionally enjoyed in restaurants. It is considered a shared dining and social experience that can last for hours. Dim Sum often includes some sort of dumpling, and one of the most popular dumpling options is Pot Stickers! Join Tess for one of her newest classes as she guides you through the step-by-step process of creating the most wonderful pot stickers with homemade wrappers that will take you to culinary heights you never knew you could reach. A wonderful dipping sauce will also be created! Participants will have the option of making a pork-based filling or a chicken-based filling as well as learning how to make homemade wrappers, but of course store bought can be used as well.     Gnocchi: Bite-sized tender soft pillows of pasta-ish goodness. Very versatile with the ability to take on the flavor of added goodness creating mouthwatering meals that will become favorites in your family’s dinner rotation. This may just sound too good to be true. Not only is this all true, but gnocchi are even simpler to make than other fresh pasta options! During this fun filled class, participants will learn how to create these little morsels of goodness, and then turn them into a scrumptious meal the instructor has created called Creamy Tuscan Gnocchi with Chicken, and make a wonderful loaf of fresh bread as well!     Don't go out to eat...stay in with us to make an amazing Southern Style Dinner! Great class to take with a friend, family member or spouse!! Beginning in the 1960's, food in the U.S. deep south was heavily influenced by early settlers from France, Germany and Spain. Slaves from Senegal, Africa, then Cuban refugees and Cajuns from Nova Scotia, Canada also contributed to the medley of flavors using the wealth of local seafood, vegetables, poultry, livestock and of course pecans. Join us in creating a memorable meal to include: Crab Dip, traditional Cheese Straws, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice, Buttermilk Biscuits, Cheese Grits, Pecan Praline candy and traditional Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.
