If you're 55 or older, you can save on your auto insurance while enhancing your driving skills. This course, developed by the National Safety Council, covers essential crash prevention techniques and has a proven track record of reducing traffic violations and accidents. Taught by experienced traffic safety instructors, including Minnesota State Patrol officers, the class features lectures, films, and discussions—no driving or tests required.
Under Minnesota law, drivers 55 and older who complete a state-approved defensive driving course qualify for a 10% discount on their auto insurance for three years. Upon completion, you'll receive a certificate to submit to your insurance provider.
